Aunt Wavel’s Pumpkin Bread

  • 1 ½ c. Flour                                                                         
  • ½ tsp. Salt                                                    
  • ½ tsp. Ground Cinnamon                                                            
  • ½ tsp. Soda                                                                          
  • ¼ tsp. Ground Cloves                                                        
  • ¼ tsp. Ground Nutmeg                                         
  • ½ c. Vegetable Oil                                                             
  • 1 ½ c. Sugar                                                             
  • 2 Eggs                                                           
  • 1 c. Libby’s Pumpkin Filling                                                         

Cinnamon Sugar Sprinkle:

  • 3 Tbsp. Sugar
  • ½ tsp. Ground Cinnamon


  • Pre-heat oven to 350°
  • Butter and flour or spray with baking pan release (2) 8½ x 4 ½ x 2 ½ inch loaf pans.
  • Place all ingredients into a mixer and blend all batter ingredients together on medium speed making sure to mix thoroughly.
  • Divide batter evenly between the two prepared pans.
  • Sprinkle top with sugar and cinnamon sprinkle.
  • Bake at 350°F for about 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

NOTE: This recipe can be baked in muffin tins or Bundt cake pans as well.

Yields 2 loaves.
